This year I am joining in with Stevie’s Liked and Loved linky. It’s a chance for me to look back at the month and share with you what I’ve liked and loved. I find writing positive posts like this really help me to focus on the positives in my life.
Here is what liked and loved in January…
Whilst it has been a chilly January and I am ready for it to be over. I have loved seeing the sunrises and we’ve been lucky enough to capture a few this month. I read a lovely post by Squished Blueberries about sunrises and it made me want to see more of them. There is something so peaceful about them.
With us moving house last month, I’ve started to get the girls bedrooms decorated and make them feel more at home here. I used some gorgeous fairy wall stickers in Alice’s room and she loved it. She told me I was the best mummy in the world and it was the best bedroom. I couldn’t ask for more than that.
My little blog turned one in January and I honestly can’t believe its been a year already. I have loved writing my blog and now it just feels part of me and I can’t see a time when I won’t be blogging. Thank you to everyone that has read a post, left a comment or shared a post. It really does make me so happy, each and every one.
One of my favourite things about moving house is being able to accessorise it. I spend hours browsing gorgeous sites looking for the next thing on my long list. I was thrilled when I found this rug, I wasn’t too sure about us having a rug in the lounge. And Andy really wasn’t that keen. But I ordered it anyway and I am so pleased that I did, it as really added to the room. Luckily Andy agrees. Laura was right again…
Walks in The Woods
We are really lucky were we live and have a beautiful woods right on our doorstep. This has meant lots of lovely walks in the woods. Sometimes Holly and I will go after the school run and get some fresh air. We’ve also enjoyed a Sunday walk with our friends and it was great seeing all the girls together. I am so thankful for where we live.
Holly Starting Preschool
I can’t believe that with the start of January, also brought the start of Holly being at preschool. It may only be one morning a week, but she loves it. I am so proud of how well she has settled in and she skips in every time. It’s a real bitter sweet moment for me, as of course I want her to go, make friends and have fun. But I do miss her and it’s a sign that my baby girl is growing up.
Planning A Holiday
Andy and I weren’t sure if we would manage a family holiday this year after moving house. But he has booked two weeks off in August and we are hoping that we will be able to go away for part of it. It’s so lovely to have something to look forward to and a chance to be a family away from the daily routine.
So that was my January! I am so ready for February, a nice short month to get us another step closer to the warmer weather. Did you have a great January?
