Liked and Loved February 2017

This year I am joining in with Stevie’s Liked and Loved linky. It’s a chance for me to look back at the month and share with you what I’ve liked and loved.

Well February as always you went by really quickly and I can’t believe we are now heading into March!

Here is what I liked and loved in February…

Booking A Holiday

Last month I mentioned that we were planning a holiday. We didn’t think we were going to have one this year, but thankfully with some careful saving we have booked a week away in the UK. We are going in August and Alice is already excited about it. I love having a holiday to look forward to.

Since we moved into our house before Christmas we’ve not put any pictures up on the walls, it was on the list of jobs to do. But this month we’ve managed to get them all up and the house looks so much better for it. It has prompted me to change some of our photos, as all the ones of Holly are when she was a baby.

Time Together

Andy and I had a night out with our friends this month. We went out for dinner and to the cinema, it was a really lovely relaxing evening and lovely to catch up with them. Andy and I really don’t do this enough and it can be hard to get babysitters all the time. But, we really need to make sure we make time for each other, even if thats in our own home.

Proud Daughter

My parents have been in Australia for a month and arrived back at the weekend. Whilst they were in Sydney my mum climbed the Sydney bridge and I am so proud of her. I climbed it, 6 years ago and know how hard it is. So, to see that my mum had managed it and she is a few years older than me (I’m being polite!), was just wonderful.

Half Term

Alice had half term from school and it was lovely to have a week with my girls. Yes, there were moments when I was screaming for school to hurry up. But, thankfully the good times outweighed the bad! Alice and I did some baking and crafting which she was desperate to do.

In our new home we have quite a bit more space than in our old house and what we used to use for our shoes, just wasn’t really working well. After much searching I found the perfect solution for our shoes and it also meant I had an area on top to make pretty! We had this sign at our wedding and I just that I now have it in our home.

February you were a short quick month and I am hoping that you take the cold and wet with you. I am ready for a brighter, warmer March.

Your house is looking beautiful Laura, so bright but cosy and personal. So happy you’ve all settled in so well and gorgeous photos as always 🙂 I hope your March is just as good if not better than your February. #LikedandLoved

We moved just before Christmas too and have just started getting the new house in order, although we have some decorating to do as it is rather old fashioned. We also booked a UK break for the summer too, moving house is so expensive that I don’t think we will get abroad this year. Alice looks so proud of her baking skills, she is lovely. xx

I think we have the same shoe cabinet 🙂 You cannot beat booking a holiday, I’m really hoping we get one but no idea what our finances will look like until after our extension is completely finished. Your home looks beautiful Laura! x

Ooo I love your shoe storage and yay for a holiday to look forward too. I think focussing on experiences rather than things is lovely too and something I will work on next time #likedandloved

Love the look of the house with its white washed furniture. How do you keep it white with the little ones? #LikedandLoved

Your house looks lovely – we moved in August last year and I still haven’t finished unpacking everything yet! That baking of Alice’s looks amazing too – she looks so proud of herself 🙂 #LikedandLoved
