I’ve always been a summer girl and dreaded the colder months. I think its because I really feel the cold and I just always preferred the hotter months. But as I’ve got older, my outlook has changed. Whilst I do still love the warmer months, I can’t handle the heat as much as I did. And I’ve also embraced the colder months more.
There is nothing better than feeling snug and warm in a nice jumper and going for a winter walk. I was recently contacted by Simply Be and asked if I would like some winter clothes and boots to keep me warm this winter. Simply Be isn’t a site that I’ve used before and when I was browsing, I was amazed at how many wonderful clothes they had.
They also have concession brands and when I spotted this Monsoon Syke Star Patch Jumper I just knew I had to have it. I mean who doesn’t love a star jumper? I always like to size up in my jumpers, as I like them to be baggy. But in hindsight this one probably would’ve been better a bit more fitted.
I just love all the stars and moon patches over it and it’s a lovely navy blue.
With the temperatures taking a drop this week, its definitely time to get those wooly hats out. I love this rainbow stripe hat from Accessorize, its nice to add a bit of colour.
Holly loves rainbows and has her own rainbow hat and now she thinks we are twinning, but she definitely looks a lot cuter in hers!
During these colder months I live in boots and after my black boots falling apart last winter, I’ve been in need of some new ones. I’m quite particular about my boots and I like them to have some detail on them. When I saw these strap and buckle ankle boots, they were exactly what I look for.
They are really comfortable to wear and my Mum who is the same size feet as me, was eyeing them up!
Whilst I may need to work on my modelling skills, I just feel so awkward in front of the camera. Especially with no child to hide behind. I am now prepared for these colder months and I can’t wait to have more winter walks with the girls. Our favourite part is coming home afterwards and snuggling up with a hot chocolate.
