I’m back with my monthly Little Loves post, to talk all about the little things that I’ve loved in June and what a great month it’s been.
But the weeks have also flown by and I can’t believe that its going to be July at the weekend.
I read a brilliant book called Everything Everything, by Nicola Yoon*. I honestly couldn’t put it down and I haven’t had that with a book for a while. There is one point in it where it takes a turn I was not expecting and I just had to keep reading. I honestly can’t recommend it enough, it’s a great read for this summer.
My guilty pleasure is Love Island. We started watching it last series when one of Andy’s friends told him how funny it is and we’ve been watching ever since. It’s SO addictive! But it also means that I’m switching off my MacBook at 9pm to watch it, which has actually been really nice.
A couple of weeks ago I headed to Suzanne’s house, she had invited a few bloggers and a photographer called Stephanie, from Summers Photography. Steph gave us some tips and advice on how to use all the buttons on our camera and what we can achieve with them. She had an Olympus camera like me and had brought along a 45mm lens which I tried out too. It was a brilliant day to spend with some lovely bloggers chatting about photography and blogging.
I’ve since brought a 45mm lens and I’m really loving the photos that it can achieve, like this one.
I brought this gorgeous skirt from Matalan, its hard to find skirts long enough for me and I love this one. It has a split up one leg, which has been lovely in the sunny weather to have some air!!
We’ve made plans for a little trip to Jersey in a couple of weeks and I’m really excited. I used to go on holiday to Jersey as a child and I can’t wait to revisit it. Andy and the girls have never been and we’ve got a lovely hotel on the beach. It’s nice to have it in the diary to look forward to at the end of term.
June was my birthday month and I had some lovely days celebrating it. We had a day with my family and we visited Brownsea Island which was beautiful. Andy took me to do an indoor sky dive on my birthday which was great fun and something I always wanted to do. We then had dinner at a local restaurant with the girls and my parents after school.
My friend took me to spa for the day and tonight I’m out for dinner with some friends. I think I can safely say I’ve celebrated well!
We’re now on the countdown to the end of term, but before that we’ve got a trip on a Caribbean Cruise ship this weekend and a trip to Alton Towers next weekend. I will have lots to share with you in my July Little Loves.
