One thing that Alice has always loved to do is drawing, colouring and any arts and crafts. It’s what she always asks to do when she is home from school and I’m always looking out for new things for her to do. We were recently sent Colourmazing, which is a new innovative, exciting way to colour and Alice couldn’t wait to get started.
What makes Colourmazing different is that when you colour it in with the pens, you watch the colour spread and it magically stops when it gets to the lines.
We were kindly sent the jungle adventures set, the garden friends set and the travel set. Alice decided to try the garden friends set first.
There are four boards of activities and a set of pens. Alice choose one that you can put your fingers through. You can mix the colour together to make different colours, giving you more options to be creative.
To make the pens work you slightly press them down, give the pen a slight squeeze and the ink spreads out. You need to make sure you place the pen nib near the centre of the section you want to colour in. It will then spread across and stop at the lines. If you place the nib to close to the lines, then when you squeeze the ink out, it does go over the lines. But Alice quickly got the hang of it.
Alice was amazed by it, and thought it was truly magic.
It was an activity that Alice was able to do herself and she likes the independence.
The ink is washable and it came off my wipeable table cloth easily.
Alice was very happy with her finished creation and couldn’t wait to do another one.
Colourmazing is aimed for 6+ and is priced at £16.99 for a box set. Its available to buy from Amazon and Smyths Toys. The travel set is priced at £6.99 and will be perfect for taking away with us.
