It’s been a busy time lately and the week’s have felt long. We have finally made it to the end of the week and Alice is now on half term. I’m so excited to have her home and to do no school run for a week!
I didn’t do a Happy Days post last week, so this is two weeks of happy moments…
Last weekend we finished off our spare room and I am so pleased to have the final room of the house done. All that is left now is to accessorise the house and put some more pictures and bits up. I love this bit and it is so nearly all done.
Last week Holly and I went to a music group with our friends. She was a bit shy to begin with, but it wasn’t long until she was up on her feet. Of course she was dancing to her own tune and not following the moves the teacher was doing. I love her own unique style!
Alice had a night time trail at school last week. She has been looking forward to it for ages. The thought of being at school in the dark with her torch, was too much for her, she was beyond excited. It was a bit much for me, ferrying her back and forth, plus getting some food into her before she went. But we will put that to one side, as she came out with a smile on her face and that is all that matters.
Last weekend Andy and I went out with our friends for dinner and to the cinema to see Trainspotting 2. It was lovely to have some time together and to see our friends, without our four children with us. I honestly can’t remember the last time we went to the cinema together and there will definitely be more trips this year.
Before my parents left for Australia, we showed my mum how to do video messages. It’s been lovely for the girls to see and talk tp them a couple of times since they left. Isn’t modern technology great for connecting people, when they are the other side of the world. The girls loved it. All week, Holly has been pointing at my phone and saying ‘I see nanny and grandad’, which is so cute.
This weekend we are seeing my brother and niece and the girls are already excited about it.
