We had the rest of the summer holidays which saw my girls become even closer if that’s possible. They were together every single day for six weeks and they both thrived on it. Yes, they squabbled too, because it wouldn’t be normal if they didn’t. But it was a lot less than normal.
At the end of the summer holidays we had our family holiday and we couldn’t wait to go. We had seen so many of our friends go and come back on theirs, but it was finally our turn.
It was our first holiday where we weren’t restricted by naps and we could loosen the routine a bit. We stuck to the same bedtime routine, as with Holly not having as many naps she was exhausted by the end of the day and needed to get to sleep. But this meant that Andy and I got to enjoy some time sat on our patio with a glass of wine over the lake, so we weren’t complaining.
Usually my photos for this post are taken at the same moment in time, but as I had so many photos of the girls from our holiday I thought I would share those. As these are the moments that I want to remember forever. When I look back at my own childhood, it is often our family holidays that stick in my mind and the adventures and fun my brother and I had.
I hope that the girls will remember the holidays that we go on, the fun, the adventures and the games that they play together.
My girls on their holiday together…
