My Girls…July 2017

My Girls…July 2017

What a lovely month it’s been and we are definitely on countdown until the summer holidays. I can’t wait to have both my girls home with me and no routine. I’m hoping it has a better start than last year, when Alice woke up on the first day of the summer holidays with chicken pox.

This month was the month that the girls finally went on their first camping trip. We were meant to go last year, but had to cancel due to the chicken pox. We went with some friends and the girls just loved it. We had the perfect weather and all the children played really well together.

I think that we will definitely be enjoying more camping trips in the future. I found it really relaxing and I know that Andy loves it.

As the girls are getting older every month it seems that little bit easier. They are playing really nicely together and I love watching them in their little world playing imaginary games. It is the best!

The love they have for each other is unquestionable and everyday I’m grateful that I could give them the best present, which is each other. They are the best of friends and I only hope that this continues their whole life. I see friends with sisters and can’t help but have a tinge of jealously that I don’t have that.

This month we’ve also seeing making use of our National Trust passes, they are so brilliant to have and I’m not sure why we didn’t get them sooner. It’s great to be able to pop somewhere for a few hours and let the girls explore and play.

My photos of the girls this month are from a trip to Cliveden National Trust. In fact I’ve just realised that my photos last month were taken at The Vyne, it looks like I have a National Trust theme going on. We had a lovely day out there, the children’s play area is really good and the grounds are stunning to look around.

We started off going round the maze, now I’m not a big fan of them as I get claustrophobic and panic that I won’t get out. But the girls love them and Andy assured me it would be ok. So we headed in…

The girls were either running like mad or walking calmly trying to work it out!

Then we found the middle!

Thankfully we did make our way out and went off to explore the grounds.

  1. Cliveden is such a beautiful place, we love it there too although I’m not keen on the maze. Glad you had fun camping and fingers crossed for a much better start to the summer holidays this year for you all. Beautiful photos of the girls as always. It is lovely when they play so nicely together and you see them both lost in their own little imaginary world x

  2. National Trust properties just make the nicest backdrops for family photos!! So many of my Siblings and Me and Mine shots come from National Trust places I’ve lost count!! And yay for loving camping – it’s one of our favourite things as well, well it would have to be given that we’re living in a tent at the moment – but there’s a simplicity about it that makes everything run a little bit more smoothly, and certainly something I try to remember to bring back into everyday family life.

Heard a lot about National trust and membership! We never had one and thinking of getting a membership as most of the places covered by NT makes a great day out. Lovely to see the girls enjoying their time! We would love to go camping as well but it has been on the rescheduled list for so long now! 🙁

Such lovely pictures of the girls – we keep talking about getting National Trust membership but haven’t got round to it yet. I hope you’re now in the full swing of the summer holidays and the girls are enjoying spending all their time together. #SiblingsProject
