Last year I went to a couple of conferences and whilst I was incredibly nervous I am really pleased that I forced myself to go. It was lovely to meet some bloggers who I had chatted to online, in real life. To take that online friendship to a different level. I also got to learn some new things too and meet some brilliant brands, that I went on to work with.
At the start of this year talk began of the conferences this year and which ones everyone would be going to. My immediate reaction was that I wouldn’t be going to any of them. My anxiety was at an all time time following our house move and I just couldn’t imagine going this year.
Then the day the tickets were released, I was having a good day and I brought a ticket on a whim, thinking that I can always cancel it and get a refund.
A few weeks later and the next conference tickets were being released and this one wasn’t until September. Some of my favourite bloggers were going to be able to attend this one and I really wanted to meet them. We chat so much online that I didn’t want this opportunity to meet them pass by. So, I booked a ticket, telling myself September is a long way off.
With the tickets brought and the hotel booked. I then realised that I since the last time I went to a conference, I’ve changed my blog design and header. Which means I needed new business cards to take along with me. Thankfully Aura Print contacted me and asked if I wanted to take a look at their business card design service. I quickly said yes.
The process to order your business cards is really easy, when you are purchasing them online you have the option for Aura to design the card, at an extra cost. Or, you can either upload the design or email it across. Because I already had my blog header, that is my brand to go on one side of the business, I emailed it over to them. I also gave them the colour code that I wanted to be used, as it my brand colour. Along with all my social media details to be included on the other side.
I received emails throughout the process to let me know what stage my business cards were at.
Once they were ready, I was sent over the design for approval. This came via email as a PDF and I could clearly see the finished result. After a couple of tweaks, I gave my approval and they went off to be printed.
It didn’t take long for me to receive an email to say they were on their way. Is it sad that I got excited to see them? I still have to pinch myself when I see my name with the words Family & Lifestyle Blogger underneath it.
I love what I do and I’ve been incredibly lucky with the opportunities that have come my way. I would love for it to become my job one day. A girl can dream…
When my business cards arrived, I loved them even more than I had seeing them on screen. They look really modern and I love the style of the social media icons.
The cards are really thick and hard, they definitely won’t bend out of shape. I also have more than enough for both my conferences and more. I will feel very proud to hand these over to any brands at the conferences.
With my business cards all sorted. Now, all I need to do is start planning how I am going to get there and more importantly what I will wear…
Disclosure: I was sent my business cards in return for an honest review. All views and opinions are my own.
