As a child if I was given £5 to spend on something, I would have had a big smile on my face as you could buy so much for £5. Over the years things have become more expensive and £5 might not quite stretch as far. But if you look hard and shop well there are so many great items that you can buy.
Sport Direct challenged me to find gifts for people for £5 or less. Anyone that knows me, will know I love a bargain. I love to get more for my money. That doesn’t make me cheap, it just means I can buy more!
With the challenge set, I headed over to Sport’s Direct to see what I could buy. I have to admit I did just expect to find sportswear, how wrong was I. Sport’s Direct sells so much more, in fact they cover every area that you can think of. From Clothes to toys to homeware. There is something for everyone.
After being distracted with just how much they had to offer, I got back to the challenge and finding gifts for £5 and under.
My first present is for Holly to give to Alice, now the girls are getting older it’s really lovely to see them wanting to buy each other a present. Alice has already chosen Holly’s, but Holly needs a bit more help from me still.
All Alice wants to do at the moment, is write, draw and do crafts. She is also a big fan of My Little Pony and we are eagerly awaiting the new movie to come out. So, when I saw this My Little Pony art set I knew it would be perfect. It’s full of crayons, felt pens, pencils, scissors, paints and lots more.
It’s in a handy case with a handle that makes it ideal to take to the grandparents house, which I’m sure we will be visiting over Christmas.
This My Little Pony Carry Along Art set was the bargain price of £4.90
My next gift is for a friend’s little boy, who will be 2 years old this Christmas. I always loved it when my girls were given bath toys as presents, as they are something that I never really thing to buy and yet something we always need. When I saw these Cars Bath Puzzles I knew straight away they would be great. Alice had a Peppa Pig set like this when she was younger and she played with them A LOT!
It’s keeps them entertained long enough to wash their hair, which is a big win for me.
This Cars Bath Puzzle set is £5
My final gift for the #SDfiverchallenge is for my sister in law. My brother, SIL and niece are off to Disneyland next year (yes, I know amazing!) and I thought it would be nice to get something in preparation for it. It’s a big holiday and I know they are excited already, so what better way than to start the excitement with a present she can take with her.
I spotted this bag and immediately knew this would be perfect. It’s really summery and has an American feel to it. Plus it’s pink stripes, what is there not to love. I love the brown leather handle, a nice touch. What is there not to love about this bag!
I picked this Soul Cal & Co Bag for the brilliant price of £5
I really enjoyed taking part in the #SDfiverchallenge and was surprised by how much choice I had. Sports Direct have lots of great products for £5 or less and Christmas really doesn’t have to cost us a fortune if we shop well. They haven’t compromised on quality either!
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I like to start early and spread the cost and the stress!
