Bringing Outdoor Games Indoors With Big Game Hunters…

Bringing Outdoor Games Indoors With Big Game Hunters…

Who doesn’t love a giant game of something that you love to play? An old classic that is immediately recognised and lots of fun to play.

These giant games are great for children to play and yes, they are typically played in the garden. But why save that fun for only a small period of the year, when you could bring the fun indoors.

This is exactly what we’ve done and Alice loved it.

We were recently sent the Maxi 4 from Big Game Hunters. Just in case you have been living on a different planet and are not familiar with the game. Each player picks a colour, in our case red or yellow. Then you have to try and get 4 discs in a row to win. This can be either diagonally, horizontally or vertically. You also need to keep an aye on what your opponent is doing and block them from getting 4 in a row.

Strategy and skill is needed for this game and Alice seems to have both these qualities!

Alice let me be yellow as it’s my favourite colour.

Concentration face!

What’s great about having a bigger version of the game, it’s not fiddly and they can play with it easier. But it’s also not too big so that it takes over the house, garden or garage to store it.

The look when daddy is about to stop you from winning!

When you do win, then part of the fun of the game is emptying the discs which is really easy to do.

You pull out these screws holding it in place.

Then tip it upside down!

When Holly woke up from her nap, the girls played it together for ages. Holly didn’t quite grasp the concept of getting 4 in a row, but she loved putting the discs in.

The Maxi 4 is made of wood, is 58.5cm high and comes with 42 counters. It has a RRP of £44.99, but at the time of writing this it’s in the sale and reduced to £29.99.

It’s great having the option to bring our outdoor game, indoors. We still store it in the garage, as we don’t have anywhere in the house to keep it.

Disclosure: We were kindly sent our Maxi 4 in return for an honest review. All views, opinions and photos are my own.

This looks like a brilliant game. My girls have played it outdoors when we visited Croome walled garden and loved it. Might have to think about it for Christmas.
