Bringing My Kitchen To Life With Our Emma Bridgewater VQ Hepburn Mk II…

There is something about music that can totally change your mood. A song that you love will come on the radio, or it will spark a happy memory and you find yourself smiling and taking yourself back for a split moment.

Since having post natal depression, music and dancing has been a life line for me at times. That time of the day where we are all getting tired from a long day and I’m trying to cook the dinner, it can be a bit fraught at times.

That is until I put on some tunes and dance around the kitchen with the girls. I’ve been doing it for a couple of years now and I love that both my girls are old enough to join in.

Sadly during our house move my radio got damaged and we’ve not been able to listen to the radio or put any music on since.

When My VQ asked if we would like to review the Emma Bridgewater Hepburn MK II, there were two reasons I couldn’t say no. Firstly, it’s Emma Bridgewater everyone, I don’t think I need to say anymore. LOVE! The second reason is that we’ve really missed our dancing in the kitchen and now we have even more room in the new house to shake our moves.

Look how beautiful it is? Could a radio be anymore beautiful. I may have done a little happy dance when it arrived. The VQ Hepburn Mk II comes in several designs and I choose the Rose and Bee design. No more dull black radios for us.

The VQ Hepburn Mk II is a DAB Radio and Bluetooth speaker which delivers the perfect combination of vintage looks and modern functionality.

It features DAB, DAB+ and FM radio reception which means we can get all digital and analogue broadcasts. It has the ability to preset 10 stations, so that they are available at the touch of a button.

Who am I kidding I am way to old for BBC Radio 1 these days!

We can also play the music that we love from our own library on our phones or stream from services like Spotify. At the moment it’s a constant replay of The Trolls music for us and I connect it wirelessly via bluetooth, which was really easy to do.

At the back you can charge your devices with the USB charging port. Which is really handy and when the girls ask for music, quite often my phone battery is on about 20%.

With summer here (honestly it is summer, I know it has felt like autumn!), we’ve been getting out in the garden as much as we can and we’ve been taking out our VQ Hepburn Mk II to listen to the radio. It’s nice to have some background songs playing while we are outside.

Look at this little lady just relaxing in the sun! Is this a sign of what the teenage years will look like.

I love our Emma Bridgewater VQ Hepburn Mk II, it’s been a welcome addition to our household. But it’s not just me that loves it, Andy will pop on Talk Sport in the morning when he is making the girls breakfast, the girls love that they can sing and dance whenever they want to and as for me, well I love having the radio on in the background when we are home. Plus did I mention how beautiful it is!

You can purchase the VQ Hepburn Mk II, RRP £149.99 from My VQ.

I love that it can be used as a Bluetooth speaker as well. Now time to speak nicely to the hubster to talk him into buying one

This is such a pretty radio. I absolutely love the design it would look perfect in my country kitchen. The fact you can stream from your phone to it as well is great. Love the photo of Alice listening away. We would so be playing nursery rhymes constantly! X
