Baby Boss, Chocolate Cake and Disney…#LittleLoves

What a strange week it’s been for us. It started with snow and last Sunday I was meant to be going to an event in London, which got cancelled because of the snow. Alice’s school was closed on Monday and even the girls are bored of the snow, as they didn’t ask to go out in it once.

Then for the rest of the week the sun has been shining and whilst it’s still a tad cold, it’s an improvement to Monday. Let’s hope that spring is finally on it’s way. Even if my husband keeps telling me that more snow is meant to arrive at Easter. I’m ignoring him!

I’ve not had a chance to read my own books this week. Alice is a little book worm like me and loves to read. We spend a lot of time reading together and I will quite often find her sat around the house with a book.

The other evening I was pottering around putting clothes away and found her sat in our bed with a book. I love it and I hope it continues.

With the girls off on Monday, after a day of crafting, tea parties and cake making. We sat down and watched Boss Baby, we hadn’t seen it before and it was really funny.

The girls and I baked a chocolate cake, because what else is there to do when your school is closed and no one wants to go and in the snow. Alice loves to bake and thankfully we had all the ingredients to make a simple chocolate loaf cake, covered in chocolate icing.

The girls then decorated half of the cake each. It tasted yummy too and Andy was very happy when he came home to see there was a slice of chocolate cake waiting for him.

I’m cheating a bit with this one, as this week is all about what the girls wore. They were sent some gorgeous new Disney T-shirts from the Disney Store. They had 3 each and they both received this Minnie Mouse t-shirt and they loved twinning with each other.

I don’t tend to buy them matching clothes, more clothes that co-ordiante. But seeing their faces light up, maybe I should. I love these Minnie Mouse ones and they go to size 16, and I’m wondering if I can fit into one to twin with them.

And Lastly…

I’ve been buying the girls some clothes ready for when spring decides to arrive and I’ve done a video over on my YouTube channel sharing what I’ve brought. If you fancy a watch, here it is…

We’ve got a fairly quiet weekend and I can’t wait.

Ooh I love the look of the chocolate cake, definitely the best use of time when school is cancelled! Brilliant to see that Alice is reading to herself, Libby isn’t quite there yet with her reading but it’s lovely to see them improving.
