AEG Power Cordless Vacuum Cleaner…The Gift Of Love?

AEG Power Cordless Vacuum Cleaner…The Gift Of Love?

It’s the week of love with Valentine’s Day earlier this week, did you get the gift that you’ve always wanted?

I did!

I was recently contacted by AO asking if I wanted to take part in their Valentine’s Day Gift Challenge. I had been paired up with my lovely friend Laura from Five Little Doves and I had to pick out the perfect gift to send her for Valentine’s Day. Because the gift of love isn’t just about your husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend. The love of a good friend is just as important in our lives.

I knew instantly what would make Laura squeal with delight, a Dyson Handheld Vacuum Cleaner. She has 4 children and I can only imagine the mess they must make at dinner time. Well hopefully not so much her eldest son, who at 14 I’m praying they are not messy eaters at that age! But her 3 younger ones probably make just as much mess as my girls, if not more.

The Dyson Handheld Vacuum Cleaner is perfect for whizzing around after meal times. Find out what Laura thought here.

I couldn’t wait to see what Laura would pick for me and when delivery day arrived, the girls were shouting it’s here mummy as the van pulled up outside.

I knew I could rely on Laura to know what I wanted (and actually needed!). I was delighted and excited (yes I get excited over household items now I’m old!) to receive the AEG Power Cordless Vacuum Cleaner. I couldn’t wait to give it a spin!

It was really easy to put together and then I had to wait an agonising 24 hours for it to charge before I could to use it. They recommend for the first charge you do it for 24 hours. You don’t have to do this every time, normally it’s only 3.5 hours to fully charge it.

It comes with a stand to put it in while it charges up. There is a place for the excess wire, which means it’s nice and neat and no danger of anyone tripping over it.

With it fully charged up, we were ready to give it a test run. With it’s 180 degree swivel head it made it easy to get around the furniture and into the gaps.

One feature I loved was it has LED headlights, in fact we all loved this. The girls thought it was brilliant. It meant I could easily see all those tiny crumbs and nothing was left behind.

The battery lasts for 60 minutes, which was more than enough time to vacuum our whole house. I mean who wants to be vacuuming for longer than that anyway! The clever Cyclonic technology left everywhere spotless, capturing more dust and dirt than our previous vacuum cleaners.

One of the features that was music to my ears as a busy mum. It has BrushRollClean technology which releases the brush roll from the cleaner head with ease, meaning I can remove tangled hair and debris in no time.

We used it on both hard floor and carpet and it was brilliant on both surfaces and it’s really lightweight to push around. There is no upholstery tool with it, which was the only drawback to it. As I like to be able to give the sofa’s a quick clean.

It’s bagless and the filter is washable which makes my life a lot easier. It was easy to unclick and empty the debris.

It’s really easy to use and I just love the fact that it’s cordless, it means I can whizz around the house a lot quicker. Let’s be honest the gift of time is always a winner for a busy parent.

You can buy the AEG Power Cordless Vacuum Cleaner from AO with a RRP of £179.

Thank you Laura for choosing me the perfect gift!

I’m a cordless vacuum cleaner convert too! I got my husband the dyson cordless for Christmas and it is life changing, so much easier when you’re a parent of two messy children!

Oh gosh this looks amazing!! I am constantly having to get the vacuum out but the one we have is so big and bulky – it’s a bit of a nightmare. This look fab – off to check it out!!

I love the idea of the LED headlights. So simple, yet so clever! The cordless vacuums are a great invention, I am planning to get one soon, too. I have carpets all over the flat, a toddler and an extremely furry cat. And that is a real challenge for a vacuum! 🙂

I’ve not seen this vacuum before, but the removable brush head would be a dream in our house!

Ooh that sounds amazing!! I love that it has the brush roll technology, my girls hair ends up tangled around our vacuum and it takes forever to try and unravel it all out! It sounds great and I’m so glad you like it. Happy Valentines Day my lovely friend! xxx

This looks great. I hate vacuuming and want to get it over and done with quickly. Not had a cordless vacuum before so I may have to break my Dyson so I have an excuse to get this.

I love a cordless vaccum – makes so much difference! This one sounds like a good one!

We have a cordless handheld vacuum and I love it, but it’s only good for the stairs and general mess. I’d love to have our proper hoover be cordless, so much less hassle when you’re moving from room to room! And it looks lovely and sleek and easy to lug up the stairs too, I really struggle with ours.

That is a really reasonably priced vacuum cleaner – I love not tripping over cords these days

I totally understand getting excited about a vacuum cleaner, I was jumping up and down when we got a Dyson handheld, I love it, but I find it always falls over when charging. It comes with something you can put on the wall to charge it, but I’m useless at putting anything up on the walls. Much better to have a floor stand.

We have another brand of cordless and it’s just so easy to pick it up and whizz round with it. The AEG looks pretty impressive too.

Sounds great, I love cordless vacuums and couldn’t go back to a corded one. This one looks very neat and compact

I have just swapped to a cordless vacuum too, I wondered what I did before! This one looks fab, your carpets are spotless!

What a gorgeous looking vacuum! We have a cordless one too and I couldn’t live without it now! Happy Valentines!

Our vacuum cleaner is on it’s last legs and I keep looking at a cordless one. This sounds great, especially with the lights to help with darker areas of the home and under furniture.

I have never owned a cordless upright but I am thinking it may revolutionise the way we clean the stairs. This looks a like a great vacuum. I like how compact it looks too, as we dont have tons of space so would need something small. What a wonderful friend to have chosen that for you xx
