Adding The Little Touches To Our Home…Plus A Giveaway!

One of my favourite things is making our house a home, I used to really rush into buying purchases and I wanted everything now. But I’ve learnt to take my time to find the right thing, not settle for my second choice. That might mean saving that little bit harder for what I really want and having a bit more patience (something I’m not good at!).

At the moment we’re doing up our dining room/family area, the furniture is on order and I’m waiting (patiently) for it to arrive. This week I brought the last few items for our hallway, I just need a few more trinkets for the hall table.

The list of things I want to do to the house is long and I’m slowly doing things as and when we can, depending on money. One area that hasn’t been touched is the front of our house.

One thing that had become really apparent that we needed to get was a house name plaque. Our estate is just one road name, but because there are lots of little roads, drivers assume it’s lots of different road names. Which means they are never quite sure if I’m the right number 10!

A name plaque would help solve this problem and I think it makes the house look smart. The House Nameplate Company got in touch and asked if we would like to review one of their plaques. A quick look on their site and I couldn’t believe all the different options there was. This was not going to be a quick decision to find the right one for us.

I quickly knew I liked the rustic slate ones and I really liked the style of writing on the one we choose.

When it arrived, it came with all the fittings that we needed and it was quick and was to put up. It’s really solid, good quality and I’m really pleased with the style of it.

It’s made such a difference to the front of our house and I love it.

Our Rustic Slate House Sign is £70 and you can see the full range here.

I’m really pleased with our house plaque and I love even more that I no longer get cheeky remarks from delivery drivers about this being the right house or not!

The House Name Plate Company are giving 1 lucky reader a chance to win a House Plaque just like my design. To be in with a chance of winning, head to the Rafflecopeter below. Good Luck!

*I’ve blurred out parts of our house plaque for security reasons. But I’ve included their stock image, for you to see exactly what it looks like.
