A Trip To…Sea Life, London

A Trip To…Sea Life, London

Last weekend we headed to London for the day, it was the start of our half term and we decided to start it with a trip away. As we have Merlin Annual Passes, there are lots of attractions that we can get into with them.

One of them is the Sea Life Centre, which is on the Southbank and we couldn’t wait to go.

When we arrived the girls were excited to see that it was decorated for Halloween and we were given a Halloween Challenge to do. They always love these little missions, and it definitely makes the trip that little bit more exciting.

We had to find the misplaced ingredients for the friendly sea witch’s potion and take it to her lair, to her her cast the magic spell and claim our special reward. The girls set off to find them, whilst looking at all the sea life on the way.

Alice quickly spotted that the missing ingredients were Halloween themed (of course!) and was great at spotting them in the tanks.

There were a few tanks, where you can stick your head in them and the girls loved them. Holly wasn’t quite tall enough and Alice would give her a lift up!

Holly was on the look out for Nemo, as she always does and gets so excited when she find them.

They have lots of large tanks and the girls couldn’t get over how big they were. Especially when the sharks swam by!

There were these amazing crocodiles.

With all the ingredients found, we arrived in the Sea Witch’s Lair and she gathered all the children around. She asked for volunteers to share the missing ingredients. Alice’s arm shot up and she gave the answer to one of them and then put it in the cauldron. She was so happy!

With all the ingredients in, they cast the spell and they got there reward, which was a beaker. The girls were happy girls.

We carried on and into the rainforest section.

I was amazed how big the Sea Life in London is, at every corner there was a new area to discover.

What was I wasn’t expecting around the next corner was to see penguins. They are my favourite and they were just so cute.

There was also another tank to pop your head in.

We had a brilliant time, there was lots of do and to keep the girls interested as we went around. We would definitely visit again next time we’re in London.

Disclosure: We are working with Merlin Annual Pass this year as ambassadors. Thank you Merlin for providing us with a year of fun.

We had a great time at SEALIFE London this week too. I think you must have been there at a different time to us because it looks like the crocodiles and penguins were out more. They were both hiding in the water so we couldn’t see them as well.

This looks a great day out and Sealife is always a good rubbish weather trip too! I’m very tempted to get Merlin passes for next year!

Never actually been to a sea life centre. My daughter had a sleep over at the deep with brownies though and said it was brill. Are the merlin passes worth it for a family? Are they to get in to all attractions for free once you have bought the pass? Sounds like a good deal.

We’ve used ours so much this year, they’ve definitely been worth it. Yes, once you have the merlin passes you can get into lots of attractions for free with them. It covers, London eye, Madame Tussurds, Legoland, Thorpe park, chessington, Alton Towers, Warwick Castle and more. Definitely worth looking into x
