A snapshot of…March

A snapshot of…March

I’m back again taking a moment to look back at last month.

Here is our snapshot of March…

My Alice…

Snapshot of March - Alice

You had another birthday party from a friend at preschool, these seem to be becoming a monthly event! We had your preschool parents evening and the teacher said how you are really keen to learn and that at any opportunity you want to learn something new. This makes us really proud and we are definitely seeing the results of this.

You love…

Your new wellies, pink with a mouse on, and I struggle to get you to wear anything else at the moment. Let’s hope the novelty wears off before the nice weather arrives.

To watch paw patrol, this is a new programme for you to watch. You found out about it from your friend and I already know the theme tune!

To eat crackers, you have liked them before. But at the moment, you want them all the time, sometimes plain, sometimes with dairy lea or marmite.

To play schools, I think I may have a little teacher on my hands. You spend ages being the teacher and reading your babies stories, doing group time and recreating anything that happened at your preschool. It’s very cute to watch…

Little Holly…

Snapshot of March - Holly

You turned nineteen months this month, (read her update here). You are really starting to chat away now and I am starting to understand what you want and that is making life easier.

You love…

You adore music and whenever you hear any, you start to do a jig and a twirl

To eat garlic bread

To walk up and down any stairs that you come across when we are out about

To play with your microwave, you spend ages putting food in and pressing the buttons

My monthly challenge…

Holly has grown up so much this month and my biggest challenge is with the snacks the girls have. Holly is now noticing that she is having something different to Alice. I have been on look out for snacks that both the girls can enjoy and it was great when two packages arrived from Ella’s Kitchen and Organix with lots of yummy snacks for both the girls.

The Ella Kitchen Smooshy snacks are perfect for at home or when we are out and about. Both the girls loved them,  Holly’s favourite is the Apple and Cucumber and Alice enjoyed the Strawberry and Beetroot one.

The Pow Powww pineapple and coconut fruit bars were a big hit too, along with the superhero mask that came with in the box. As you can see from the picture, Holly couldn’t wait to eat it all up!

We are a family that like to go out when its not raining, even a trip to the park is lots of fun. The girls loved eating the Organix Goodies cheese crackers for a snack.

Children love food that is interesting to look at and a big favourite in our house are the animal biscuits from Organix. A few put in a bowl and they feel so grown up and love seeing which animals they have.

What we got up to…

It has been a month of celebrating, with my dad’s birthday, my sister in law’s birthday and mother’s day. A lot of cake has been eaten, including a lovely afternoon tea.

Alice had her first sleepover, which you can read about here, this was a big hit.

Eating seems to be a theme this month, with it ending with Easter and far too much chocolate was eaten by Andy and I. It was for the good of the girls, honest! We spent the weekend with a family day out, spring cleaning the house and an Easter egg hunt at my parents house.

My favourite moment…

My favourite moment this month is actually a whole week, because Andy has been off work since Easter and it has been really loving having him with us. We had a fab day out at the Winchester Science Centre, a child free shopping trip and the sun came out most days, with trips to the park.

Here’s hoping for a sunny April…

Disclosure: We were sent the products from Ella Kitchen and Organix to include in this post, however all opinions are my own.

It’s great to have the dads at home isn’t it? I wish Carl could be off all the time but I don’t think the mortgage company will accept blog posts as payment so it’s not going to happen! Sounds like you had a great month

Ella’s Kitchen is fab, isn’t it! The pic of Holly is just like my daughter when their crackers come out!

I’m glad you enjoyed having daddy at home, I sometimes wish my husband was employed rather than self-employed!
