A Snapshot of September…

September went really quick. In fact so quickly that I completely forgot we are now in October and to write this post!

Here is our snapshot of September…

My Alice…

September saw you become a school girl and I couldn’t have been more proud of you. You’ve been looking forward to this day for so long and when it finally arrived you were so excited and bounced into the class room. It has been a big learning curve for us all, but you have settled in so well.

You also started to do swimming lessons without mummy in the pool with you and you have been amazing. Already you have improved so much. And you just love it, which always helps.

You love…

Going to school everyday, I am hoping this doesn’t wear off

Playing with your new friends

To eat your school lunches with your friends

To watch Time for School, to see if they do the same as you

Little Holly…

Since turning two last month, you really have come into your own. You are eating so much better at dinner time and this is such a relief. You are really missing Alice now she is at school everyday, but gradually it has become the norm for you. We are finding our feet with our new daily routine, now its just the two of us and juggling the school run.

You started baby ballerinas this month and you just love it. I knew you would, but you are a lot more confident than I thought you would be. It has become my favourite thing of the week, seeing you in your little tutu.

You love…

Your new ballet tutu

To play in the sand pit when we get a spell of sunny weather

To eat peppa pig yoghurts

Your new coat and that means wearing it indoors too

What we got up to…

I took Alice to Legoland the day before she started school. Because they had a staggered start, it meant all the schools had gone back and it was a lot quieter. It was lovely to have some time with just Alice before she started school.

My favourite moment…

Seeing Holly in her ballerina tutu, she really does look adorable and I could eat her.

What we are reading…

We were sent a new book called ‘Gordon’s Great Escape’ and its such a cute little book. Gordon is a balloon and he starts life in the packet and then he grows and goes off to balloon school. Then his adventures begin and take him to lots of different places.

He then ends up at the circus and a whole new adventure begins. It ends with…..can you guess? A Bang!

Holly loves it and wants it again and again.

Yesterday we received a booked called ‘The Royal Rabbits of London’ and I read the first chapter to Alice last night before bed. I love this time with Alice and having a more grown up book to read to her. It’s all about a rabbit called Shylo who dreams of a life of adventure. I can’t wait to read more with Alice, watch this space…

I am now on the countdown to half term, so we can have lots of fun all together again. Lets hope this sunny weather sticks around too.

Disclosure: We were sent the two books for the purpose of this post. All views and opinions are my own.

Aw I’m glad you’ve had such a fab month. Holly looks so adorable in her tutu and I’m really glad school is going well for Alice, it’s a relief isn’t it? The books look lovely too and roll on half term!

Ahh this is lovely. It’s great that Alice is enjoying school so much, although I am hugely jealous, and I’m sure Holly is enjoying having you all to herself, although it’s hard when they miss their older siblings so much, the whole dynamics of the family changes. Those books look lovely, we love discovering new books, I will have to check them out. #picknmix

Your girls are of a very similar age to mine, this post could have been written by me! My eldest has also just started school and loves it, and my youngest and I are missing her terribly, but loving having some quality time together. #TheList

Oh gosh, Holly is that tutu is just heartbreaking! You must be so proud of Alice settling into school so well – I love that you sat in our exact spot to watch the pirate show at Legoland! We always end up sitting there 🙂
